Disadvantaged workers take home livelihood grant

Davao City – Two disadvantaged workers from Bunawan District of this city received a livelihood grant from DOLE XI under its DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program on February 17, 2020. Both beneficiaries were granted equipment and materials worth PHP 20,000.00 each. 

Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante personally handed the check to the said beneficiaries who have requested for possible livelihood assistance from the department; according to them, their daily income is not enough to suffice the needs of their family.

After further evaluation and thorough process, the staff of the livelihood unit assisted the beneficiaries in the purchase of their equipment and materials. Mr. Isabelito Digal Jr., one of the beneficiaries, proposed baking and selling of cakes and pastries as his livelihood project and Mr. Ferdinand Villacampa proposed selling of assorted viands as his livelihood project.
