DOLE XI released 1.29M for solo parents and tricycle drivers

Solo parents and tricycle drivers from the 1st Congressional District of Davao City received their wages from DOLE’s TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers).

Each beneficiary received the amount of P3,960.00 for a ten-day job of community disinfection and sanitation within their barangays. The 326 beneficiaries included 189 solo parents and 137 tricycle drivers. The payout which was facilitated on June 20, 2020, at the People’s Park in Davao City totaled to P1,290,960.00.

TUPAD Program is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers. To avail of the program, displaced workers in the informal sector are encouraged to visit their Punong Barangays for inclusion in the list for future implementations.
