Davao City โ Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Davao recently conducted livelihood orientation as support to Brgy. Paciano Bangoy fire victims.
The fire incident occurred last September 14, 2020 damaging commercial establishments and leaving 7 families and 15 individuals homeless.
DOLE Davao Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo said, โthe DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) is intended for the vulnerable and marginalized workers.โ
โDILEEP will give the fire affected individuals the opportunity to rebuild their livelihood,โ she added.
DOLE Davao City Livelihood Focal Ms. Izabeth Villareal will continue to coordinate with Paciano Barangay Captain Jovito G. Salazar for the implementation of the livelihood assistance.
Brgy. Capt. Salazar said, โAko nagpasalamat kay bisan pandemya, wala gihapon kalimti og tabang ang mga biktima sa sunog. Pinaagi sa atong pag ampo ug pagtinabangay, malampasan gihapon nato ning mga pagsulay.โ
