
Tagum City, Davao del Norte – The Department of Labor and Employment Davao Region recently awarded โฑ 10,683,060.00 check for 2,656 beneficiaries.
DOLE Davao Director II Atty. Jason P. Balais turned over the check to the office of Gov. Edwin โKuyaโ I. Jubahib for DOLEโs Emergency Employment Program (EEP) also known as Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced and Disadvantaged workers (TUPAD).
The recipients of the financial assistance shall work under the supervision of Provincial Agro-Forestry Community Projects Team, Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and DOLE Davao del Norte Field Office to plant trees for the reforestation of ancestral domain in Davao del Norte.
DOLE Davao Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo said that the Department will further stretch its efforts to assist the displaced workers in the region, especially in this time of pandemic.
Gov. Jubahib expressed his gratitude on behalf of the TUPAD beneficiaries and said, โakong kinasing-kasing na pagpasalamat sa ahensya sa DOLE sa pu-as na pagbobo sa amoa og pondo aron daghan pa kitag matabangan sa atong probinsya ilabi na sa nasinati nato nga pandemya.โ
