Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte – DOLE XI released ₱ 1,540,000.00 cheque to Local Government of IGACOS last 28 August 2020 at the IGACOS Mayor’s Office to kick start the project called 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙡 (𝘾𝘼𝙍𝙀𝙎).𝘾𝘼𝙍𝙀𝙎 aims to help the locals of the Island to recover from job loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This aims to provide quality training for their income-generating business or craft and, eventually, long term employment and sustainable source of income.𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗕. 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗧. 𝗨𝘆 signed the Deed of Usufruct as LGU IGACOS grants DOLE XI a 1,000 sqm land in Peñaplata, Samal. This is intended for the Workers Development Training Center, a show room for all products and crafts of local workers under project “CARES”, a plant nursery and an area for the permanent 𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗫𝗜 𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 to closely the project’s implementation.𝗥𝗗 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 said that she is grateful for the Local Government of IGACOS for their cooperation and generosity to its people and hopes for more project collaborations in the near future with DOLE XI.
