
The Uraya High Value Crops Farmers Association, of which 90% of the members are Atah Manobo, were declared as Regional and National level winner of best DOLE Assisted Livelihood Association during the DOLE Kabuhayan Annual Awards.
DOLE Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo said that it is truly an honor for DOLE Davao Region to have assisted the said association not only because of their current victory but for its great contribution to Davao Region.
โThey are truly an inspiration for farmers, associations, other indigenous groups and marginalized sectors who are aspiring for development,โ she added.
DOLE Director II Atty. Jason P. Balais said, โDOLE Livelihood program aims not just purely giving the grant but mainly the true concept of โSustainable Livelihoodโ and the real impact of โfood on the table to all beneficiariesโ.โ
