A TOTAL of 17,339 job vacancies as of April 13 for local and overseas employers will be available during the upcoming May 1 Labor Day Job Fair here in Region XI.
This year’s Labor Day celebration bears the theme: “Kinabukasan Sigurado sa Disenteng Trabaho.”
Out of the total vacancies, 4,130 jobs are for local employment and 13, 209 for overseas.
127 employers have pledged to participate during the job fair wherein 99 of them are local employers and 28 are overseas employers.
Top local jobs include: call center agents, production worker, US healthcare BPO consultants, account executives, bottling crew, factory worker, sales utility clerks/stock clerk, sales assistants, technician, and stockman/bagger while overseas top jobs include service workers, restaurant workers, delivery man, service crew, factory worker, female cleaner, nurse staff, barista, and building electricians.
The Labor Day Job Fair on May 1 will be held simultaneously in four venues: SM City Ecoland in Davao City; and GMalls in Davao City, Tagum City and Digos City. The job fair in Gmall Davao City will run until May 2.
70 employers will be present in SM City Davao, 87 for GMall Davao, 36 for GMall Digos and 34 for GMall Tagum.
Prior to Labor Day, there will also be mini job fairs from April 26-30 at SM City Ecoland and GMall Davao where five different local and overseas employers will be participating per day.
