Davao City – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI conducted the 2019 Basic Employment Service Training (BEST) for new and current PESO (Public Employment Service Office) Managers in Davao Region.

In his welcome message, DOLE XI RD Raymundo G. Agravante said to the participants, “You have been our partner in extending employment services down to the municipal and barangay levels. We thank you for your cooperation and we appreciate your hard works in keeping us forward in providing services for our people. For 2019, we have new designated PESO Managers and Job Placement Officers and Staff, due to the changes of their respective local chief executives. With this, we welcome you and we hope that hand-in-hand we will continue our service towards our fellowmen. Basic Employment Service Training is one of the steps in providing trainings and workshops to enhance and strengthen DOLE’s employment program starting with advocacy for PESO Institutionalization.”

The two-day activity which was held at Blue Lotus Hotel in Davao City on August 15-16, 2019 is also expected to help “in providing a multi-dimensional service quality for employment, livelihood, and training, ensuring the continuity of the skills registration project, and effectively manage the employment programs of the Department.”, said Marlito D.
