Through DOLE XI-Davao del Norte Field Office (DNFO), the beneficiaries attended and actively participated the orientation conducted by DOLE XI-DNFO TUPAD coordinators on August 17, 2021.

Brgy. Captain Alfredo S. Batingal sent his heartfelt gratitude to Sec. Silvestre H. Bello III for extending the TUPAD program in their barangay. “We will use this opportunity to improve and beautify our barangay to attract more tourists, and to provide more job opportunity for our residents. It is like hitting two birds with one stone,” he said.

The beneficiaries will work from August 18 to 27, four (4) hours every day under strict guidelines and protocols of IATF, with daily compensation of P396.00. They will receive a total of P3,960.00 after completing the 10-day community work.  The wages of the beneficiaries will be coursed through ML money remittance to ensure standard payment.

The beneficiaries, who are displaced workers due to this pandemic and the seasonal workers in the said barangay, are thankful for this opportunity and assistance that will sustain the needs of their family even in a short period of time.

“We are constantly looking for ways to help our displaced workers get a fresh start. And we hope that this emergency employment given to the beneficiaries will lessen the burden brought by the pandemic,” DOLE XI OIC-Regional Director Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy said.
