Davao del Sur – DOLE XI through its Davao del Sur Field Office provided a temporary employment project to 400 displaced sugarcane workers in this province. The sugar industry in the area is experiencing the off-season, hence the need of a short-term wage employment as an immediate source of income. The work assigned to them which was implemented on September 4 to 20, 2019,  includes clean-up and road maintenance, de-clogging and dredging of canals at the sugar plantations.

The fund which was taken from the DOLE TUPAD Fund amounted to P2,376,000.00. “Mao ni nindot sa gobyerno kay may suporta para namo nga mga trabahante sa tubo.
