Island Garden City of Samal. – A two-day payout on Tulong Pangkabuhayan Sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) Program was conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment XI to 2,052 TUPAD beneficiaries in four areas of the island namely Babak and Peñaplata (June 3, 2019) and Kaputian and Talicud Island (June 4, 2019).

The team conducting the activity was spearheaded by DOLE IGACOS Satellite Office Head Francis Dominique Y. Nazario, reinforced by IGACOS PESO Team headed by PESO Manager Florencio Thaddeus Valera  and the team of Rodrigo O. Roble, Jr., DOLE XI Regional Focal Person on Livelihood.

The implementation of the project was graced by the presence of DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante and DOLE XI TSSD OIC-Chief Paul V. Cruz. In his short message to the islanders, RD Agravante stressed that, “there are more employments through the programs of DOLE that can be applied to the people of IGACOS in the days to come.”  /By Eduardo P.
