Boston Mayor Rebecco Rosit, Jr. and his municipal councilors receive the check with an amount of 2.25 Million Pesos from DOLE XI RD Raymundo G. Agravante. Witnessing is Honorable Corazon N. Malanyaon (1st District, Davao Oriental)  and DOLE officials.

Cateel, Davao Oriental – Three hundred forty (340) workers from the informal sector  of Boston, Davao Oriental received a livelihood grant of Two Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand (P2,250,000.00) Pesos from the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) of the Department of Labor and Employment Region XI.

The grant which is intended for the Rural Community Enterprise Development and Enhancement Project of the municipality of Boston, Davao Oriental, was received in check by the officers of local government unit of Boston headed by Mayor. Rebecco B. Rosit, Jr. Handing the check was Department of Labor and Employment Region XI.

The grant is expected to alleviate poverty through creation of additional self-employment opportunities that in one way or another would increase productivity and income of the beneficiaries. (By Eduardo P. Monreal, DOLE XI LCO-Designate)
