Bello, Job Placement Officer, SPAMAST Digos Campus; Pauline Elsa F. Olita, PESO Manager, Mati City; Rolly M. Impas, Provincial PESO Manager, Davao del Sur; Eufronia J. Mangle, PESO Manager, Asuncion, Davao del Norte.

Davao City – Vying for the 2018 National Search for Best PESO Awards five contenders from Region XI gear up for the prestigious search that will be held in October 2019 in Bacolod City. The contenders are chosen based on their accomplishments anchored on the PESO core services of 1/Referral Placement, 2/Career Guidance, and 3/Labor Market.

 The contenders who will vie for the awards are PESO Province of Davao del Sur  (Provincial Category), PESO Mati City (Component City Category), PESO Asuncion, Davao del Norte (1st – 2nd Class Municipality), Magsaysay, Davao del Sur (3rd – 4th Class Municipality Category) and SPAMAST Digos Campus (Job Placement Office Category). These PESO offices will be represented by their PESO Managers in Bacolod City.

 The PESO or Public Employment Services Office is created to ensure the prompt, timely, and efficient delivery of employment service and provision of information on other DOLE employment and self-employment program. PESO specifically provide a venue where people could explore simultaneously various employment options and actually seek assistance they prefer; serve as referral and information center for the various services and programs of DOLE and other government agencies present in the area; provide clients with adequate information on employment and labor market situation in the area; and network with other PESOs within the region on employment for job exchange purposes.
