The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Municipality of Braulio E. Dujali in Davao del Norte was awarded BEST PESO 2012 3rd -4th Class Municipality Category during the 11th National PESO Congress on October 10-11, 2012 at the Baguio Country Club, Baguio City. This was its 3rd consecutive year of winning in the same category that paved way to hitting grand slam for 2012.  PESO Manager Abel Pagatpat received the award and vowed to work harder this year to maintain and even surpassed previous accomplishments.

Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz led DOLE officials in recognizing PESOs among the network of 1,756 PESOs nationwide.  She said that the PESO must continue to strengthen its function as DOLE’s partner in making available and accessible all employment services and  programs which will address gaps on local employment, resolve job-skills mismatch and pushback unemployment.

Meanwhile, University of Mindanao, Tagum Campus, Davao del Norte emerged as Best State University and College PESO.  PESO Manager Ms. Alicia Sulayon received the award and expressed her gratitude to PESO-PHIL and DOLE for recognizing their efforts and initiatives.  Moreover, Best PESO 2012 in Highly Urbanized City was  bagged by both Davao City PESO and Quezon City PESO .

Other PESO awardees were Province of Pampanga (Best PESO 2012- 1st Class Province), Province of Zambales  (Best PESO 2012 2nd Class Province), Province of Southern Leyte (Best PESO 2012 3rd Class Province), Gen Trias, Cavite (BNest PESO 2012 1st-2nd Municipality), Saguday, Quirino (Best PESO 2012 5th-6th Municipality), San Fernando City, Pampanga (Best PESO 2012 Component City.
