Department of Labor and Employment Davao (DOLE XI) spearheaded the creation of Tulong Alay sa Kaunlaran ng Kasambahay or TASK Kasambahay through a MOA Signing during the 3rd Anniversary of the Kasambahay Law. It is a Regional Inter-Agency Convergence team organized to help address and ensure the implementation of Kasambahay Law in the region.

“DOLE Davao is the first to sign MOA for Kasambahays. This TASK Kasambahay is a monitoring and advisory body that strengthens and reinforces Batas Kasambahay or RA 10361 because we at DOLE Davao are serious in implementing the law,” said DOLE Director Joffrey M. Suyao.

Various National Government Agencies and Civil Society Organizations such as: DSWD, SSS, DepEd, DILG, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, TESDA, Philippine Information Agency, San Pedro College and the League of Barangays of Davao City agreed to relentlessly work in pursuit of the protection and development of kasambahays.

The said agencies also shared their programs for kasambahays including the Kasambahay Desk established by DILG for every barangay. This is to encourage Kasambahays to register and also to report abuses or any violations committed by their employers.

To enliven the 3rd anniversary of Kasambahay Law, DOLE XI will conduct “Kasambahay Fun day” on January 31, 2016 at San Pedro College. There will be showcase of talents, free haircut, massage and other fun filled activities.
