

Davao City – DOLE Davao City Field Office released a financial assistance amounting to P950,000.00 under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to an accredited co-partner in Barangay Indangan, Buhangin District, Davao City on March 22, 2021.
The financial assistance will be used to procure equipment, tools, and material for the Vulcanizing, Welding, and Auto-Repair Services Project for the PUJ and tricycle drivers of Barangay Indangan and nearby barangays. This will benefit 62 members of Acacia Indangan Drivers and Operators Association (AIDOA) and 36 members of Cabantian Motorcycle Dirvers Association (IDACMODA), composed of jeepney drivers, tricycle drivers, and operators.
DOLE DCFO Chief Erlinda Mamitag shared, “In behalf of DOLE Davao Region, we are truly glad for we have been instruments in providing livelihood to the beneficiaries. This will surely improve the lives of our beneficiaries and their families, and give hope to them especially in this trying time.”
Moreover, DOLE Davao Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo added that programs like this promotes inclusive growth and generates more jobs, which is one of the keys to poverty reduction.
DILP, also known as Kabuhayan Program, aims to provide the poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers with additional income and alternative employment.
