A total of six (6) national awards were presented to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI in the Kabuhayan 2022 Awards conducted by the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) on May 27, 2022 at New Coast Hotel, Malate, Manila. The much awaited event endeavored to recognize the outstanding accomplishments exemplified by the beneficiaries, implementers, and partners relative to the implementation of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

The Kabuhayan Awards also served as an annual incentive and award system for Best DOLE-Assisted Livelihood Projects presented in two (2) categories: Best Individual Project and Best Group Project. The White Copra and Charcoal Production of Dominga Association in Calinan, Davao City took the second place in Best DOLE-Assisted Livelihood Project – Group Category. The audio-visual presentation of the said association won the third place in Best Video Documentation.

Moreover, DOLE XI Livelihood Team made a clean sweep of the Top Performing Region Awards in the implementation of TUPAD, Sustainable Livelihood Framework, and Livelihood Programs for having the most outstanding achievements in terms of timely submission of report, physical and financial accomplishments, minimal number of audit observations, forging of partnerships, and good practices/innovation.

Individual accomplishments were also given due recognition during the event in which Mr. Rodrigo O. Roble, Jr. won the Top Performing Regional TUPAD Focal Person Award for four (4) consecutive years, for his valuable efforts in supervising and monitoring of the implementation of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program in Davao Region.

In his speech, Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III congratulated all the winners in national and regional levels and acknowledged their contribution to achieve the shared goal of inclusive job recovery. “I do hope that you continue to be examples of excellence and sources of inspiration in your respective communities and even beyond,” he added.

Meanwhile, DOLE XI Regional Director Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy complimented the exemplary performance of the Livelihood Team in effectively and efficiently delivering the livelihood programs and services of the Department to the beneficiaries in Davao Region especially during this crucial time.
