DOLE Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” H. Bello recognized the DOLE Regional Office No. XI as one of the Top 5 Performing Regions in the implementation of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), as exemplified by its outstanding performance in program implementation, good practices/innovations initiated and adherence to the provisions of the Department Order Nos. 173-17 and 219-20.
In 2021, DOLE XI distributed over Php 1.5 billion worth of DILEEP assistance to a total of 206,868 beneficiaries across Davao Region composed of displaced workers due to the pandemic, workers from marginalized sectors, and livelihood organizations among others.
DILEEP is aligned with the government’s agenda of poverty reduction and inclusive development. The program seeks to contribute to poverty reduction and reduce the vulnerability to risks of the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers either through emergency employment, and promotion of entrepreneurship and community enterprises.
It has two (2) components: (a) Kabuhayan or DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP); and (b) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) or Emergency Employment Program.
