With the ongoing crisis in Marawi City, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI through the initiative of one of its employees has recently conducted a campaign which aims to gather a total of 10,000 liters of water for victims affected.
Beginning the campaign this month, DOLE XI has already gathered about 1,940 liters from different public and private groups and individuals for this campaign which was already turned over to members of the Philippine Army 10th Infantry Division headed by TSG Antonio C. Sodusta last Friday June 16, 2017. The turnover was headed by DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante together with TSSD Chief Paul V. Cruz, IMSD Chief Angelina Talingting and DOLE Livelihood Focal Rodrigo O. Roble Jr.
This campaign is an initiative of DOLE XI Livelihood Focal Rodrigo O. Roble Jr. who began campaign through his social media account and was supported by the Department. He was moved by the saddening news of affected people in the ongoing battle in Marawi City.
“Hindi kailangang maging mayaman upang tumulong, hindi kailangan ang estado sa buhay, pinag-aralan o ano pa man para makatulong. Ang kailangan ay puso at malasakit sa kapwa. Gamitin ang social media ng tama upang sa gayo’y makatulong sa Kapwa,” Roble posted in his social media account.
Other than the DOLE XI, donations came from DOLE Bureau of Workers with Special Concern- Workers in the Informal Economy Development Division, DOLE MIMAROPA, San Pedro College, and University of Mindanao.
For those interested to donate, you may visit DOLE XI office at 4th Floor, AMQ Building, Dacudao Avenue, Agdao, Davao City or call (082) 226-2481.
