Davao del Sur – For the production of bangus and danggit, DOLE XI through its Davao del Sur Field Office gave a grant to Pasig Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and Upland Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (PARBUF MPC).

The fund amounting to P918,645.00 will be used in the construction of a 10 x 10 x 8 fish cage, purchase of bangus and danggit fingerlings. The cage that will be put up in the sea of Brgy. Punta Piape, Padada, Davao del Sur will be filled with twelve thousand (12,000) bangus and three thousand (3,000) danggit fingerlings. The cooperative will be assisted technically by the experts from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and the Municipal Agriculture Office of said municipality.

“Kung swertehin, in 4 to 5 months, makaka-harvest kami nang lampas sa 6,000 kilos na bangus at more than 400 kilos na danggit na aabot din sa halagang more or less P800,000.00.
