Five former OFWs under the Department of Labor and Employment Region XI National Reintegration Center for OFWs (DOLE XI-NRCO) “Sa Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma’am/Sir” (SPIMS) have received their teaching kits on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

SPIMS is an OFW reintegration convergence project of DOLE, Department of Education (DepEd) and other government agencies which provide opportunities for OFW Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passers.

The turn-over of the teaching kits was headed by DOLE XI Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao together with DOLE XI Technical Services and Support Division OIC Chief Paul V. Cruz and NRCO XI Focal Person Rea B. Sa-an.

The teaching kits awarded to the beneficiaries namely Grace B. Cavalida, Leoniza Paran Bustamante, Ofelia C. Cabrera, Rabby Ventura and Mary Grace Ventura include an android tablet, voice aid lapel, flash drive, calculator, ballpens, markers, white board pens, notebooks, ruler, correction tape, and boxes of crayons and chalk to aid them when they get back to teaching in their preferred areas in the region.

The former OFWs belong to the second batch of SPIMs beneficiaries for 2016.
