Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte and the Guest Speaker Senator  Francis Tolentino.

Davao City – In celebration of the 121^st Anniversary of the Philippine Independence, the City of Davao Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Sara Z. Duterte, conducted a flag raising and wreath laying at the Rizal Park, Davao City on June 12, 2019. Mayor Sara welcomed all the guests from the different embassies in Davao and all Dabawenyos present in the event.

 DOLE XI RD Raymundo G. Agravante joined his fellow reserved officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Delivering a special message for the occasion was Senator-elect Francis N. Tolentino. In his speech, Tolentino said that he would consider proposing a fourth star in the Philippine flag symbolizing the Benham Rise which is rich in minerals and is a Philippine territory.
