54 Million Entitlement. DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante turned over a Certificate of Entitlement worth 54 Million Pesos to DavSur Governor Douglas Cagas for intervention to the earthquake victims in the province. The turnover was witnessed by Senator Bong Go, Paul V. Cruz, DOLE XI TSSD OIC-Chief, DOLE DSFO Chief Reynaldo Dennis V. Badilles, Senior Labor and Employment Officer Leo Ariel A. Pepino, DavSur Provincial PESO Manager Rolly Impas and some personnel from DOLE Davao del Sur and the provincial capitol.
Davao del Sur – A total of 8,586 profiled displaced workers hit by the earthquakes in October this year became beneficiaries of DOLE’s Emergency Employment Program (EEP) also known as TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers.
The profiled beneficiaries, all in Davao del Sur are coming from Hagonoy (300), Kiblawan (150), Malalag (150), Bansalan (400), Matanao (300), Sta. Cruz (350), Padada (100), Cor Jesu College (25), SPAMAST (25), Magsaysay (5,706), Digos (300), Malls (780). “Marami po kaming trabahante nang malls na nawalan nang trabaho dahil sa closure po. Nagpapasalamat po kami sa DOLE na meron palang programa na emergency employment para po pansamantalang magkapera kami.”, said Ricky, a displaced mall employee.
Engr. Reynaldo Dennis V. Badilles, Chief of DOLE Davao del Sur Field Office said that the work identified for the project includes building or repairing houses, clean-up drive and road maintenance.
The turnover of the 54M Certificate of Entitlement was done at the Davao del Sur Provincial Capitol in Brgy. Matti, Digos City on November 22, 2019 coinciding the ground visit of Senator Bong Go to the province. Turning over the certificate to Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Cagas was DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante witnessed by DOLE XI TSSD Chief Paul V. Cruz, DOLE DSFO Chief Engr.
