The Department of Labor and Employment XI in its effort to advance commitment to Quality and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management, have been recommended for certification after passing the series of audits from January to February 2021.

As the lead agency that ensures workplace safety, DOLE XI intends to adopt an OHS Management System (OHSMS) in accordance to the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 which was assessed by Certification International Philippines Inc. in January 14-15, 2021 (Stage 1 Audit) and February 11, 2021 (Stage 2 Audit). The certifying body’s audit conclusion yielded a positive certification recommendation for DOLE XI subject to the implementation of action plan related to audit recommendations raised.

Furthermore, DOLE XI sustained its certification under ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System (QMS) after passing the reassessment audit conducted last February 18-19, 2021 with no non-conformities noted. This result only affirms DOLE XI’s commitment to quality and continual improvement in the delivery of programs and services. The long-term vision of DOLE XI thru the leadership of Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo, is gearing towards the integration of the QMS and OHSMS to uphold the international standard in ensuring quality of organizational outputs while maintaining workplace safety.
