In celebration of the 2017 Labor Day and Business Fair, a sports festival kicked off initiated by the regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment XI.
This activity is aimed to promote camaraderie and a sense of belongingness among the employees, promote the value of teamwork and the ability to work well with each other, promote a healthy lifestyle and create health awareness. In particular, the sports fest encourages everyone to participate in becoming more interactive within the department and to all attached agencies.
A series of sport activities are lined up from June to December 2017. There are five (5) sports up for contest, basketball, bowling, badminton, table tennis and darts. Bowling kicked off during the celebration of the 2017 Labor Day.
Hence, in order for the Sports Festival to be successful, a committee on sports and awards is created to lead the necessary preparations and supervises the smooth conduct of the activity.
The Sports Committee is chaired by Arce D. Sinajon, DCFO Senior LEO and members Erwin P. Daquiado, AA VI – IMSD, Wilson A. Lunas, DCFO LEO II, Ryan Roldan, LEO II – TSSD, Edmundo Cordero, AA IV while the Awards Commitee is chaired by Lorraine Grace G. Ugsang, AO V and members April Jade Paradero, AA VI, Kimberly D.
