The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI under its Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers, or TUPAD is set to conduct payout to Roxas Night Market Bombing on Thursday, December 22, 2016.

29 victims of the incident last September 2 will benefit from the said payout.

TUPAD is a component of the DOLE Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program, or DILEEP.

The program is a community-based (municipality/barangay) package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers; those who were self-employed and have lost their livelihood, including farmers and fishermen, due to natural or man-made disasters, and the underemployed and the unemployed poor.

The beneficiaries will receive a minimum daily rate for their 10 day work.

This is one of DOLE XI’s assistance to the victims which was announce during the recently conducted interagency forum on November 25, 2016.

Under the program, if the victim is unable to work they can send their relative to work in behalf of them instead.
