ANOTHER BLAST FOR DAVAO REGION
The Department of Labor and Employment – Regional Office No. XI was adjudged as the 2011 Best Performing Regional Office among Level II regional offices. Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz awarded the plaque of recognition and cash incentive of P40,000 to DOLE XI Director Joffrey M. Suyao during the DOLE 2012 Year End Performance Assessment and 2013 Corporate Planning Exercises at the Marco Polo Hotel in Cebu City on February 6-8, 2013.
DOLE XI is recognized for its innovative strategies in concretizing its programs and services to expedite its delivery to the clients and ensure that all systems and procedures are in place. Director Suyao said that “some remarkable push factors why DOLE XI garnered the award were the installation of the electronic Public Employment Service Office – Statistical Performance Reporting System (PESO-SPRS) and the electronic Labor Market Information (LMI) system in the region that paved way to the strengthening of the data bases of all PESOs, as well as the establishment of Community Enterprise Development projects in all provinces in Davao region that helped bolster the increase of employment levels and develop the entrepreneurial skills of Dabawenyos.”
Director Suyao expressed his gratitude to the committee on Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) for recognizing the synergy of efforts and collaborative actions of the regional office in coordination with partner agencies, local government units, PESOs and other stakeholders. He dedicated the award to all DOLE XI personnel for their hardwork, dedication and commitment to ensure the prompt and efficient delivery of better service to the workers in Davao region.
Other awardees were DOLE Regional Office No. III (Central Luzon) and DOLE Regional Office No. IX (Zamboanga Peninsula) under Levels I and III, respectively.
