Davao City – Excerpts from The President’s Mid-Term Report To The People 2016-2019, subtitled Sustaining Transformational Reforms Towards A Comfortable Life For All shows accomplishments of the Department of Labor and Employment.

President Duterte cited DOLE’s accomplishment of extending 50.86 Million Pesos for emergency employment assistance as of July 2019 to 5,358 beneficiaries as part of Task Force Bangon Marawi.

On the strategies to end the communist armed conflict through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) which he introduced in April 2018 after signing A.O. No. 10, President Duterte cited that DOLE’s intervention on integrated livelihood program to former rebels was recorded at 383 beneficiaries as of June 2019.

Duterte said that E-CLIP is designed to provide assistance to qualified former CPP-NPA-NDF rebels and Militia Ng Bayan members to provide them with the opportunity to become productive members of the society. He added that the inter-agency Task Force Balik-Loob (TFBL) oversees the government’s consolidated efforts to reintegrate and address the needs of the former rebels, their families and communities. (By Eduardo P.
