Nabunturan, ComVal – The Employees’ Compensation Commission XI conducted a province-wide In-house seminar on 31 January 2018 at Café Noventa in Nabunturan Compostela Valley Province known as the Golden Capital of the Philippines.

The seminar aims to increase awareness on the three major components of the EC Program namely – prevention, compensation and rehabilitation services. It will also discuss the recent program reforms of the ECC anchored on the “3Es”- Equalize, Enhance and Expand strategy in response to the challenges facing the EC Program.

More than 60 participants, mostly Administrative officers and information officers from various Local Government Units and National Government Agencies attended the activity which PIA had organized.

The ECC Regional Information officer, Albert A. Bantan, had also graced the program of Aksyon ComVal Teleradyo after the seminar to discuss on air the programs of the Employees’ Compensation Commission.

ECC Executive Director Stella Zipagan-Banawis said that the In-house seminar in the province of Compostela Valley is pursuant to ECC’s thrust in ensuring that all employees in private and public sectors in the entire region are cognizant of the programs streamlined by this agency of the government. “The activity was an efficient way of addressing clamors about failure of claimants to avail the benefits under EC programs due to lack of information.” Banawis added.

Marilou M. Amura of the LGU Monkayo stressed during the seminar that one of her co-workers died in line of his duty but was unable to benefit the programs of ECC due to lack of information. “We are grateful that this seminar is held because we are now well-informed of our privileges under the EC programs.” she added.

The activity was the second In-house seminar conducted by the Employees’ Compensation Commission in Compostela Valley Province.
