In a bid to further strengthen the awareness of private companies on the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Family Welfare Program (FWP) in Davao Region, the Federation of Family Welfare Stakeholders (FFWS) XI is set to conduct a Mindanao-wide summit on September 21 and 22, 2017.
The summit with the theme: “Strengthening the Engagement of Family Welfare Program for Workforce Advancement” will be held at Big 8 Corporate Hotel in Tagum City.
On the first day of the summit, there are three main topics to be discussed namely Spirituality in the workplace, Positive Enforcement of FWP and Its Challenges, and Mindfulness – Based Stress Reduction. Site visits to establishments with best FWP practices will be held on the second day of the summit.
Dignitaries expected to be present during the event are Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III, DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante, Tagum City Mayor Allan L. Rellon, and Davao del Norte Governor Anthony G. Del Rosario.
The Federation Family Welfare Stakeholders XI is an organization composed of different company members represented by its Human Resource Directors and was organized back in April 2007. FFWS’s primary objective is to share best practices and replicate outstanding accomplishments by the member companies as an advocacy of their corporate social responsibilities through the DOLE’s Family Welfare Program.
Registration is at P1,800 per head inclusive of meals, benchmark bus ride and kits. Accommodation and transportation from the participant’s point of origin are not covered.
