IGACOS – One hundred (100) beneficiaries composed of fisher folks and women in Balet, Babak District, IGaCoS received a livelihood grant amounting to P1M on July 31, 2019.
The fishermen received 32 motor engines, 3 fish shelters (payaw), and fishing gear accessories, tools and equipment, while the women received sewing machines for garments making.
In his message to the members of Balet Farmers and Fisher Folks Association (BFFA), DOLE XI OIC Assistant Regional Director Jason P. Balais said, “Consider this livelihood grant as a gift from God wherein you are the stewards. So, take good care of this gift, use it to generate income and employment in the community.”
