On May 1, 2010, one of the biggest job fair in the country will  be held at the Activity Center of SM City, Davao.  The 2010 Labor Day Celebration will be conducted simultaneously in all SM Malls all over the country.

DOLE XI’s has the most number of Hired on the Spot (HOTS) in last year’s Labor Day Celebration outside of the National Capital Region (NCR).  One thousand One Hundred Ninety Five 1,095 job seekers were hired during the  said Labor Day Job Fair comprising 15% of the total number of registered applicants.

To ensure that more applicants will be hired in this year job fair, PRE-REGISTRATION OF APPLICANTS WILL BE CONDUCTED AT THE ACTIVITY CENTER OF SM CITY DAVAO from April 23 to April 30, 2010.  Our HOTS target for this year is 15% of the registered applicants.  The pre-registration will facilitate matching of skills with the demand.  For local vacancies, 38 employers will be participating offering 3,928 jobs while 41 recruitment agencies will offer 8,553 job orders to be filled up during the said job fair.

For the first time, the Armed Forces of the Philippines will participate in the job fair with 105 vacancies.  BPO companies are in need of more than 2,000 call center agents, customer/technical associates, etc.   One Cebu Firm will be hiring more than 300 production and technical personnel such engineers and graduates of technology courses.
