The planning activity was an offshoot of the joint Resolution made during the 3rd Mindanao OSH Summit held recently in Dapitan City in its pursuit to create One-Network for Mindanao composed of the different OSH Networks of Regions 9, 10, 11, 12, Caraga and ARMM and other health and safety organizations like the Association of Accredited Safety Practitioners in the Philippines.
OSHNet 11 President Engr. Abdon Patagoc Jr. says, “Safework Mindanao is an innovative strategy of OSH advocates and practitioners, whose framework is to preserve the most important assets in the industry – the Human Resources. “The collaboration of safety & health experts, practitioners and enforcers would enhance the continual improvement for safety and health program in the industries, and where workers at all levels are protected with the OSH program of the regulatory agency and where workers have the right to work safely in their working environment”, he adds.
The strategic planning was one of the activities during the Social Partnership at Work as part of DOLE’s month-long 77th anniversary celebration this December on the theme, “Tuwid na Daan sa Tapat na Paglilingkod”.
