In response to the growing need to widen our networking and linkages with other stakeholders in the promotion and implementation of  our programs and services particularly on employment facilitation, the Department of Labor and Employment, Davao del Sur Field Office in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office of the Local Government Unit of Bansalan paved way towards the installation of the new school-based Public Employment Service Office at the University of Mindanao, Bansalan Campus on July 31, 2012 .

Mr. Salvador C. Tagalog, Jr., the Director of UMBC, welcomed the participants composed of the teaching personnel and guests from the LGU of Bansalan and stressed the importance of the school’s partnership with our department in terms of preparing the students and graduates as they enter the world of employment.

Mr. Henry  O. Montilla, OIC-Provincial Head, committed to provide technical assistance and be steadfast to help strengthen the operation of the PESO.

Ms. Celia Duo , LEO III, gave an orientation on the mechanisms and salient features of the PESO and introduced the varied programs and services of our department .

The finale was the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement to signal the humble beginning of  the new partnership between the Department of Labor and Employment and the University of Mindanao, Bansalan Campus.
