After its grand opening and blessing last month, the Davao Region One Stop Service Center for OFWs (OSSCO) has already served a total of 1, 337 clients.

Out of its total number, OSSCO Davao Region located at the 5th floor of Gaisano Mall of Davao, has catered to a total of 506 overseas clients and 831 local clients.

OSSCO XI agencies available include Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Immigration (BI), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Report showed that for August 2017 most of the OFWs availed of NBI clearance with a total of 165 clients followed by HDMF with 64 clients, POEA with 48 clients, and OWWA with 39. Meanwhile for local clients, most of them availed of the services of PHIC with a total of 153 clients served, HDMF with 140 clients, SSS with 130 clients and BIR with 85 clients.

While the OSSCO XI also serves for local clients, DOLE XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante emphasized the OFWs is still the main priority of OSSCO XI facility.

“OSSCO Davao with its lead agency being the POEA, prioritizes in catering on the needs of our OFWs. That is why we are continually inviting all our OFWs that we have this facility made accessible for their convenience,” Director Agravante said.

OSSCO XI was organized by DOLE XI and is led by POEA and was officially opened to the public last August 11, 2017. It currently operates from Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10AM-7PM.
