The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), in collaboration with the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards in seventeen (17) regions, has been conducting this competition to recognize micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that demonstrate excellence in quality and productivity improvement. The awarding ceremonies for this year’s search will be in October 2015 to coincide with the Quality and Productivity Month celebration.

Since the search was first launched in 2008, Region XI has already produced four (4) national winners for Best in Productivity Improvement Programs (PIP).  Lao Integrated Farms, Inc. was the national winner in 2009 under the Agribusiness Sector (small enterprise) category while AMS Employees Fresh Fruits Cooperative (AMSEFFCO) won under the Agribusiness Sector (medium enterprise) category.  Tesoro’s Printing Press bested other participants to be the national winner in 2011 under the Medium Enterprise/Industry category.
