In line with President Duterte’s Executive Order No. 70, DOLE XI headed by RD Raymundo G. Agravante together with other national agencies, the Kapalong LGU and the military of the 10th ID conducted a service caravan to a once rebel-infested area of Sitio Tapayanon, a far-flung Ata-Manobo community of Kapalong, Davao del Norte on September 30, 2019. The lair is situated at the bosom of a group of mountains in the tri-boundary of Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur and Davao del Norte.
DOLE XI conducted a payout to one hundred (100) TUPAD beneficiaries and further did an additional profiling. Isolated and disadvantaged, the community can be reached within 6 to 7 days through forested areas, crossing rivers and the chance of encountering leftists, but only forty-five minutes by helicopter. Joining the caravan were Atty. Noel K. Felongco, the Cabinet Secretary of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), Kapalong Mayor Ma. Teresa Timbol and the men of Camp Gen Manuel T Yan Sr, in Brgy. Tuburan, Mawab, Compostela Valley Province.
