Davao City – A two-day activity of the DOLE XI livelihood unit was conducted at Malagos Garden Resort, Calinan, this city, which was participated by fifty (50) beneficiaries around the region, highlighting the assessment of their organizational maturity.
In 2015, the beneficiaries assessed the maturity of their organization in accordance to their rating matrix. The results from 2015 was compared to the results of the 2019 organizational maturity matrix as they rate their respective organizations. Improvement was noticed in the majority of the organizations.
In his message, RD Agravante stressed that, “It is better for the project if the source of the materials will be seen within the community only so that it will be easy for you to get resources. Another thing, it is better if the organization is well structured; proper designations shall be made in order to avoid confusion in decision making.”
SLF or the Sustainable Livelihood Framework is a program of DOLE XI that continues to help the displaced workers from the different parts of the region. The said beneficiaries were oriented on the BMBE (barangay micro-business enterprise) requirements by a DTI representative, Gema Estrada, of which they were encouraged to comply. Orientation on the social welfare benefits was conducted as well by Melanie Jadulang, Sr. LEO, DOLE XI.
