More than 3,000 applicants joined the recently concluded Labor Day 2018 Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan at Gaisano Mall last May 1 and 2, 2018.

Final job fair data showed that out of the 3,192 total registered applicants and 2,540 were qualified applicants for both local and overseas employment.

238 were hired on the spot (HOTS) wherein 207 were hired for local employment and 31 were hired for overseas employment.

The opening program was headed by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI Regional Director Raymundo G. Agravante and OIC – Assistant Regional Director Jason P. Balais together with Department of Trade and Industry XI Regional Director Belenda Q. Ambi, Assistant Regional Director Edwin Banquerigo and GMall Human Resources Head Jessica Acosta.

For this 2018 Job Fair, a total of 12, 532 vacancies for both local and overseas have been solicited from 87 participating companies/agencies.

Moreover, during the opening program, DOLE XI also released a total of P10.6 million worth of livelihood checks to 26 recipients from the different provinces in Davao Region.

Aside from the job fair, other activities during the event include DTI XI’s Diskwento Caravan, livelihood trainings and seminars, DOLE Livelihood Fair and one-stop shop.
