ACCREDITATION OF CO-PARTNERS


OVERVIEW/BACKGROUND

Accredited Co-Partner refers to the program partner of DOLE responsible for the direct delivery of services to the target beneficiary. They are the workers’ organizations, other non-profit peoples organizations and non-profit, non-government organizations that have passed the accreditation requirements per DOLE Department Order No. 36-02, COA Circular 2007-001 and COA Circular 94-013.

For this purpose, accreditation is the acceptance by the DOLE of the NGO, PO, Government Organization (GO) or Local Government Unit (LGU) to implement the former’s project after proper verification and validation of required documents.

OVERVIEW/BACKGROUND

Livelihood or Kabuhayan Program is a grant assistance for capacity-building on livelihood for the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized workers.

Kabuhayan Program consists of Kabuhayan Formation, Kabuhayan Enhancement, Kabuhayan Restoration and Community/Group Enterprise Development. Startup package assistance for the program includes the purchase of raw materials, equipment, tools and jigs, and other support services necessary in setting-up the business or enterprise.

SOCIAL AMELIORATION PROGRAM (SAP) MATERNITY AND DEATH BENEFIT


OVERVIEW/BACKGROUND

The DOLE implements an industry-based social protection program – the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) in the Sugar Industry – as mandated under RA 6982. It aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of the sugar workers and their families in the mills and plantations who are vulnerable due to the seasonality of work in the sugar industry. A lien of P10.00 per picul of raw sugar produced or P7.90513 per Lkg. is collected upon withdrawal of raw sugar from the mill’s warehouse through issuance of quedans to the planters and millers.

TUPAD or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.

DILEEP or DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Programs, seeks to contribute to poverty reduction and reduce the vulnerability to risks of the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers either through emergency employment, and promotion of entrepreneurship and community enterprises.
